COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team won the series finale against No. 4 Arkansas to cap off the week.

NOTES:
Tyler Bak had a great series against No. 4 Arkansas. Bak was 6-for-11 with a double, a home run and four RBI against the Razorbacks. In the 9-4 win on Sunday, Bak was 3-for-5 with three RBI and a solo home run. On the season, Bak is hitting .293 with three home runs and 17 RBI.

Brandon Stone moved to 3-1 on the year with a solid Sunday start against Arkansas. The junior righty pitched 5.1 innings and allowed five hits with two runs and five strikeouts to improve to 3-1 on the year. Stone has a 2.39 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 26.1 innings pitched this season.

Jake Randolph had three home runs in the Arkansas series. He had a solo shot on Friday in the ninth inning, then had two home runs in Sunday’s 9-4 win. Randolph was a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBI in the win. On the year, Randolph is hitting .385 with three home runs and five RBI.

Amp Phillips had another solid start in Saturday’s game against the Razorbacks. Phillips went seven strong, striking out six and allowing just three hits and a run with two walks. He lowered his ERA to 2.32 after the game and he is holding opponents to a .193 batting average.

Carolina heads to Truist Park in Charlotte to face North Carolina on Tuesday night. The Gamecocks then head to Athens, Ga., to start a three-game series at Georgia on Friday.
