No. 18 Gamecocks Set to Compete in Wildcat Spring Challenge

COLUMBIA, S.C. – No. 18 South Carolina beach volleyball remains on the road for the Wildcat Spring Challenge in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday and Saturday. To begin play, the Gamecocks will face Colorado Mesa on Friday at noon and Arizona at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, South Carolina will play No. 14 Hawaii at noon and Florida Gulf Coast at 2:30 p.m. All times are in ET. LAST TIME OUT

South Carolina secured a top-15 win over then-ranked No. 11 Arizona State. The Gamecocks claimed three points from pairs three, four and five. Despite a strong start, South Carolina fell to then-tanked No. 7 TCU and Boise State to close out the tournament.

COLORADO MESA (14-4)

All-Time Series Record: Gamecocks lead the overall series 1-0.

Last Meeting: South Carolina won the first and only match, 5-0 on 3/4/2016

ARIZONA (15-7)

Series Note: Friday’s match will be the first meeting between the two programs.

Last Meeting: Florida Gulf Coast won, 3-2 (2/20/2026)

Series Note: This will be the second meeting this season between South Carolina and Florida Gulf Coast. The Eagles earned a victory during the opening weekend at the Dolphin Duals tournament.
