South Carolina Dominates at the Tiger Track Classic
AUBURN, Ala. (April 25, 2026) – South Carolina Track & Field competed in the Tiger Track Classic on Saturday at the Hutsell-Rosen Track in Auburn, Ala. The Gamecocks secured nine overall wins and six new Top 10 program marks at the site of the 2026 SEC Outdoor Championship.
The women’s team accounted for five wins and three new program identifiers. JaMeesia Ford was responsible for two of the wins, doing so in the 100 meter and the 200 meter after running season best times of 11.22 (1.0) and 22.07 (1.1). Ford’s 100m time of 11.22 ranks 17th in the East Region, while her mark of 22.07 in the 200m broke a facility record and sits atop the regional leaderboard.
The Gamecock women finished 1-2-3-4 in the women’s 200m, led by Ford and followed by Alexis Brown (22.54), Cynteria James (22.71) and Zaya Akins (22.84). Brown’s time set a new season best and placed her fourth overall in program history. Meanwhile, James’ mark was a new personal best and positioned her in seventh on the all-time leaderboard. Akins’ time in the 200m was a new personal best as well and was prefaced by a runner-up finish in the 100m after clocking 11.36 (1.0).
Eline Mast and Abigail White shined in the 800 meter race with Mast coming away with the win after crossing the line in a personal best time of 2:07.35. The veteran distance runner now ranks ninth in program history for the 800m. White also turned in a new personal best, posting a time of 2:08.20.
Joslyn Hamilton and Kyndall Harrington-Spain led the Gamecocks in the 100-meter hurdles, with Hamilton notching the win after running 13.10 (1.1). Harrington-Spain was able to turn in a new wind-legal personal best mark, crossing the tape in 13.34 (1.1) for the runner-up finish.
The duo was also instrumental in the women’s 4×400 meter relay securing the win, running as the leadoff leg (Hamilton) and the anchor leg (Harrington-Spain). They were accompanied by Maya Love and Kymora Lee-Williams as the quartet ran 3:36.30 for the win.
On the men’s side, South Carolina captured four wins and three new top 10 program marks. Individually, Jasauna Dennis, Edouard Lecrivain and David Warmington Jr. secured wins in their respective events. Dennis was able to turn in a time of 46.20 in the men’s 400m for the gold medal, while Warmington Jr. captured his second win of the season in the 110-meter hurdles after running 13.91 (0.7). Lecrivain turned in a season best 800m time of 1:47.67, jumping into fourth all time in school history. He was closely followed by teammate and freshman Kaleb Burroughs who ran a personal best time of 1:47.85. Burroughs’ new personal best in the 800m catapulted him into seventh place in program history.
The final win of the afternoon came in the final event of the day as the men’s 4×400 meter relay squad of Josiah Wrice, Dennis, Burroughs and Devan Crumpton delivered a new program top 10 mark. The quartet was able to cross the line in 3:03.71 for the win and the eighth fastest time in Gamecock history.
The Gamecocks will conclude the regular season next weekend at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. on the campus of North Florida. The two-day meet will begin on Friday, May 1 and conclude on Saturday, May 2.
