Joyce Edwards Named to USA 3x3 Roster

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore forward Joyce Edwards was named to the United States team for the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series, starting May 1 in Chengdu, China, USA Basketball announced today. It is her second 3×3 assignment with USAB, following last summer’s FIBA 3×3 Nations League America Conferences title run in Punta Arenas, Chile.

The selection is Edwards’ sixth across all USA Basketball events, dating back to her first selection in 2023. She has collected three gold medals in 5×5 event – 2025 FIBA AmeriCup, 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup and 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup. Last season was her debut in 3×3 competition.

The FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series season begins on Fri., May 1, in Chengdu, China, with the American squad scheduled to compete in Pool D with matchups against the winner of Qualifying Draw B at 2 p.m. ET followed by Australia at 3:40 a.m. ET. The quarterfinals, semifinals and final are set for Sat., May 2.

The USA is also slated to play at the 3×3 Women’s Series event in Manila, Philippines, May 6-8 with additional competitions expected to be added at a later date.

For the first events, Edwards joins MiLaysia Fulwiley (LSU), Mikaylah Williams (LSU) and Sahara Williams (Oklahoma). Additional athletes may be added to the USA roster as the season unfolds.

The 3×3 competitions are played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points or the team in the lead at the end of regulation is the winner.
