INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – South Carolina earned the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Columbus Regional as the field was announced for the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship on Wednesday. It marks the 32nd all-time NCAA Regional appearance for the Gamecocks and the second under head coach Rob Bradley, who led Carolina to its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2019 last season in Bremerton, Wash.
Ohio State is the host institution for the Gamecocks’ regional site with teams competing over three days at OSU Golf Club from May 18-20. The 13 teams and 10 individuals at the regional site will play 54-holes of stroke play with the top-five teams advancing to the NCAA Championship May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The highest finishing individual on a non-advancing team will also advance to the NCAA Championship. La Costa is hosting the NCAA Championship for the third consecutive year with Texas serving as the host school again.
The Gamecocks will be one of eight teams ranked in the top-50 of the latest Clippd Poll competing at the NCAA Columbus Regional. No. 2 Florida has the top seed as the highest ranked squad at the 13-team regional site.
