Joyce Edwards Makes USA 3x3 World Cup Roster
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore forward Joyce Edwards earned a spot on the USA Women’s 3×3 National Team that will compete at the 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Warsaw, Poland, June 1-7. Her selection comes on the heels of her role in helping the United States secure a selection to the tournament with a pair of wins on the FIBA 3×3 Series earlier this month.
The selection is Edwards’ seventh across all USA Basketball events, dating back to her first selection in 2023. She has collected three gold medals in 5×5 events – 2025 FIBA AmeriCup, 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup and 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup. Last season was her debut in 3×3 competition, and she thrived in the format this season with the wins that qualified the U.S. for the World Cup.
Joining Edwards on the U.S. team are MiLaysia Fulwiley (LSU), Mikaylah Williams (LSU) and Sahara Williams (Oklahoma). The group will report to training camp in New York May 24-25 and spend May 26-31 in Warsaw for training camp ahead of the tournament’s start on June 1.
The 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Cup includes 20 nations per gender. The fields are split into four five-team pools with a round-robin format starting June 1. Knockout play tips on June 5, followed by the quarterfinals on June 6 and the medal games staged on June 7. The U.S. women’ are in Pool B, taking the court on June 2 against Hungary at 12:55 p.m. ET, and they will go on to player Australia at 2:45 p.m. ET the same day. On June 4, the Americans will face Mongolia at 12:30 p.m. ET and wrap up pool play with Spain at 2:20 p.m. ET.
The 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Cup is in its 10th edition and will stream live on YouTube.com/FIBA 3×3.
The 3×3 competitions are played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points or the team in the lead at the end of regulation is the winner.
