Andrews Selected for USA U18 AmeriCup Team

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball incoming freshman Kelsi Andrews is among the 12 athletes who will represent the United States at the 2026 FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup later this month, USA Basketball announced today. The tournament is set for June 9-15 in Irapuato, Mexico, and the team will hold a four-day training camp prior to traveling to Mexico.

Andrews has two previous USA Basketball selections, competing in the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup and the 2023 FIBA U16 AmeriCup and helping the U.S. claim gold in both. Edwards has participated in USA Basketball camps and trials each of the last three years.

The 6-foot-3 center entered her senior season ranked as high as No. 18 in the Class of 2026 after helping lead IMG Academy to a high school national championship in 2025. An early-season injury slowed Andrews in her final high school season. Prior to her first season at IMG Academy, she played at Hazel Green High School in her hometown.
