Nat Hubert Named Men’s Soccer Associate Head Coach
COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina men’s soccer head coach Tony Annan announced Friday (June 5) that Nat Hubert has been named associate head coach.
Hubert joins the Gamecocks after spending two seasons at Lindenwood as an assistant coach before being promote to associate head coach. Over his two seasons, the Lions went 25-9-7. He helped them to their first regular season and postseason championships in the Division I era in 2025. They also received votes in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll for the first time since joining Division I.
“I am excited to add Nat to our staff. He brings a really special perspective on the game and will be great for our team and individuals alike. He is aligned with what we want to do as a team and I believe he will have a very impactful influence on the program.”
In 2025 he helped Lindenwood became the first team in the school’s history to make an NCAA Division I National Tournament after winning the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Championship. The Lions ranked third in Division I with 12 total shutouts, which were the most by any OVC team in league history. Hubert coached seven different players from the 2025 squad that were named to the OVC All-Conference teams in addition to the OVC Forward of the Year and Defender of the Year.
Before joining Lindenwood, Hubert spent two seasons at Catawba College as the top assistant coach, where the Indians went 18-12-4. He helped guide Catawba to its highest national ranking in 16 years in back-to-back seasons. In his second season, the Indians had three players named All-Region and four earn All-Conference honors, the most since 2003.
Hubert started coaching after a four-year career at Belmont University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in social work. He was a starting defender from 2013-17, playing in 67 career matches. He was named to the All-Freshman Team in 2013 and in 2014 he led the team in goals. Following graduation, he won a National Championship as a player at the University of Nottingham in 2018 and graduated with honors, earning his master’s degree in management.
