Athletics, Gamecock Club Announce Record-Breaking $244 Million Fundraising Year
COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina Athletics and the Gamecock Club have announced a record-breaking fundraising year, generating more than $244 million during the 2025–26 fiscal year. The unprecedented total marks the highest fundraising achievement in Gamecock Athletics history, and reflects the extraordinary generosity, passion, and commitment of donors investing in the future of the University of South Carolina and its student-athletes.
The $244 million is a 128% increase over last year’s then record $107 million.
The historic fundraising success was driven by strong philanthropic support for the Williams-Brice Stadium Reimagination Project, record Gamecock Club membership, increased ticket revenue across all sports, and continued investment in both stadium-related initiatives and broader athletics priorities.
The $244 million total includes more than $99 million in cash contributions and $177 million in philanthropic commitments. During the fiscal year, the Athletics Department received 49 gifts of $1 million or more, including two of the largest donations in department history.
During the past year, Gamecock Athletics was the grateful recipient of the two largest gifts in its history. Both were anonymous gifts of $20 million to the Athletics Excellence Fund and $15 million to the Williams-Brice Stadium Reimagination project.

Through their incredible support, our donors have paved the way for us to strategically invest in our student-athletes and their experience, and they have well positioned us for competitive excellence across a very dynamic college athletics landscape.”
Phase one of the Williams-Brice Stadium Reimagination Project is set for completion prior to the 2026 season and will feature wider concourses, additional concession and restroom facilities, and significant enhancements to The Cockpit, South Carolina’s student section. Phase two is set for completion prior to the 2027 season and will feature over 3,000 new premium seats including new suites, loge boxes, and club seats.
Momentum continues to build across every area of Gamecock Athletics. Gamecock Club membership has surpassed 28,000 members, an increase of 7,500 members from last year, while demand for football season tickets continues to grow with an increase in new season ticket sales. This includes a 10 percent increase from last year of Garnet Society members, among the highest level of donors supporting Gamecock Athletics.
