Men’s Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of South Carolina men’s soccer team earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches, which recognizes exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Gamecocks finished the academic year with a combined GPA of 3.56, the highest in their conference and 27th among all NCAA Division I programs. It is the 18th time overall receiving the Team Academic Award.

A total of 326 men’s soccer teams across all collegiate levels (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, NJCAA) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. South Carolina was one of 175 schools that had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
