Harris Shoots 59 Sunday to Win Pinnacle Bank Championship

Former All-American snagged first career pro win in just his sixth start on the Korn Ferry Tour

ELKHORN, Neb. – Former All-American Frankie Harris secured his first professional win in dramatic fashion on Sunday at the Pinnacle Bank Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour, defeating Alistair Docherty on the second playoff hole at The Club at Indian Creek.

Harris made a back nine charge shooting 27 (-8) with six birdies and an eagle, posting a final round 59 (-12) to grab the clubhouse lead at 22-under (262) for the tournament thru 72 holes. He became just the ninth player worldwide to have a sub-60 final round and win the tournament.

This week marked the sixth Korn Ferry start for Harris after he earned conditional status for finishing No. 9 in the PGA TOUR U Rankings in early June. It was the highest final ranking by any Gamecock (Ryan Hall No. 11 in 2021-22 and Nathan Franks No. 21 in 2024-25) in six years of the accelerated system created to aide amateur golfers as they begin their careers at the next level.

A two-time All-American, First Team All-SEC selection and the program’s all-time wins leader (6), Harris had one of the finest individual seasons ever at South Carolina to conclude his college career in 2025-26. He started all 11 tournaments for the Gamecocks, logging a scoring average of 69.91 with nine top-20 finishes, five top-10s and three wins. His scoring average was the lowest in program history for a single season, surpassing former All-American Ryan Hall (69.97 in 2020-21). The duo are the only players in school history with a sub-70 scoring average for a single season.

The Boca Raton, Fla. native finished his three-year Gamecock career with a scoring average of 70.37 in 32 events played, the lowest in program history just in front of Hall (70.66 from 2018-22). Harris’ 13 top-five finishes are fourth-most all-time at Carolina and his 15 top-10s are 10th most in program history.

Today’s victory moved him up to No. 29 (up 121 spots) on the Korn Ferry, season-long points list with six events remaining. The top-20 players earn full PGA TOUR cards for 2027.
