Harbor Named to 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List

ATLANTA – Senior wide receiver Nyck Harbor was tabbed one of 113 nominees on the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, The Wuerffel Foundation announced today. The prestigious award honors Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players who lead through community service while excelling in the classroom and on the field.

As college football’s premier award for community service, the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy recognizes student-athletes who use their platforms to serve others and make a positive impact in their communities. Named after Danny Wuerffel, the 1996 Heisman Trophy winner and former University of Florida quarterback, the award reflects his lifelong commitment to leadership, service and unity.

A standout on and off the field, Harbor is a two-time CSC Academic All-District pick with a 3.54 cumulative GPA as a Public Health major. His community service accolades include supporting a scholarship in his hometown of Washington, D.C., the Prince George’s County Walk to Cure Arthritis, charity golf events, hosting a youth football camp, serving as a Big Brother for a young man in Greenville, S.C. and various other community service initiatives locally in the Midlands.

On the field, Harbor won the Steve Spurrier Most Valuable Player for Offense after putting together the best season of his career in 2025. He started all 11 games, hauling in 30 catches for 618 yards and a team-high six touchdown receptions. His 20.6-yards per reception average ranked No. 3 in program history for a single season. In three seasons with the Gamecocks, Harbor has appeared in 36 of 37 games (24 starts) with 68 catches for 1,189 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.

The 2026 Wuerffel Trophy Watch List highlights student-athletes whose leadership and service extend far beyond the football field. The full list of nominees can be found here.

For the third consecutive year, the Wuerffel Foundation is partnering with Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) to unite college football’s top community service honors with the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®. In September, 11 student-athletes from the Watch List will be named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and become semifinalists for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.

The Allstate Wuerffel Trophy finalists will be selected by the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy National Selection Committee, with input from a fan vote. The 2026 recipient will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards show on December 11, and also serve as captain of the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.

The 2026 recipient and finalists will be invited to join Wuerffel in New York City for the Heisman Trophy events. The Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Presentation Gala will follow in February 2027 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
