Harbor/Stewart Earn Spots on Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Preseason Coaches All-SEC Team was announced on Wednesday by the league office and a pair of Gamecocks were selected. Junior EDGE Dylan Stewart was a first team selection on the defensive line and senior wide receiver Nyck Harbor was a third team pick at wide receiver.

Stewart started 11 games for the Gamecocks in 2025, earning All-SEC honors and honorable mention All-America distinction. He totaled 33 tackles with 4.5 sacks and a team-leading 12.0 tackles for loss. He also had eight QB hurries, two pass breakups and three forced fumbles (T-2nd in the SEC). Stewart was a unanimous Freshman All-American and finalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award in 2024 after notching 23 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, which ranked third among all FBS freshmen.

A Washington, D.C. native, Stewart was also tabbed a 2026 First Team Walter Camp Preseason All-American, a Preseason AP First Team All-American and a Preseason Media First Team All-SEC member (as voted on by media attending SEC Media Days in Tampa the week of July 20). He also was named to the Nagurski Trophy List Watch for the second consecutive fall, The Lombardi Award™ 2026 Preseason Watch List and to the Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List recently.

Harbor won the Steve Spurrier Most Valuable Player for Offense after putting together the best season of his career in 2025. He started all 11 games, hauling in 30 catches for 618 yards and a team-high six touchdown receptions. His 20.6-yards per reception average last season ranked No. 3 in program history. Harbor hauled in 11 catches of 20 or more yards, five of 47 yards or more that all went for touchdowns. He had touchdown receptions in each of the last five games in 2025. In three seasons with the Gamecocks, Harbor has appeared in 36 of 37 games (24 starts) with 68 catches for 1,189 yards and 10 touchdowns.

A standout on and off the field, Harbor was also recently named to 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List and a nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
