South Carolina to Kickoff Palmetto Series at Home

COLUMBIA, SC – South Carolina women’s soccer (1-1-0) is set to host Clemson (0-0-2) for the annual Palmetto Series on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 7:00 p.m. in Stone Stadium. The game will be streamed live on SECN+.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Gamecocks hit the road for the first time this season, taking on Wake Forest
• South Carolina had chances, but ultimately fell 0-3
• The pair last met in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to round out the 2025 season, with the Demon Deacons taking things 2-1
• 5th-year keeper Christina Tsaousis tallied a season-high four saves

SCOUTING THE TIGERS

• Thursday’s game with the Tigers will be the 33rd in the series matchup
• Clemson leads the overall series 16-11-5, with four of five ties coming in the last four consecutive seasons
• The most recent meeting was in Clemson, with the Gamecocks drawing 0-0
• Nine of the Gamecocks’ 11 wins over the Tigers have been shutouts
• The last victory over Clemson  came at home in 2018, when South Carolina took a 1-0 win

Parking for fans will be available in the grass lot behind the Athletics Village Garage, around the stadium at metered spots (subject to fees), and overflow will be in the Roost parking lot. Marion Street (located in front of Stone Stadium) will shut down two hours prior to kickoff.

Doors will open at 90 minutes before kickoff for the general public, and 60 minutes for students.
