Galitsky Named to ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List
COLUMBIA, S.C. (Aug. 27, 2026) – South Carolina standout women’s golfer Eila Galitsky has been named to the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel Preseason Watch List as announced by The Haskins Foundation on Tuesday morning.
Galitsky, a two-time consensus All-American, is coming off a sophomore campaign in which she appeared in 10 events with five top-10 results including a win at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. Currently ranked No. 11 in the most recent World Amateur Golf Rankings, Galitsky earned a spot on the All-SEC Second Team last season after leading the Gamecocks in scoring average at 71.76. Her season scoring average ranked 11th best in school history and second-best scoring average by a sophomore in Gamecock history. The Thailand native has appeared in 16 career events with 48 rounds of competition, averaging 71.44 strokes per round. She has nine career top-10 finishes and five of those have resulted in top-5 placements.
The ANNIKA Award, created in 2014, is annually given to the top female Division One collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer.
Galitsky and the rest of the Gamecocks will tee off on Monday, Sept. 7 at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in the season opener at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn.
