ROCK HILL, S.C. (Sept. 14, 2026) – South Carolina men’s basketball will square off against Wake Forest on Oct. 15 in “The Scout Exhibition” at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center in Rock Hill, S.C.

Tickets to the exhibition showdown are on sale now and can be accessed by clicking this link with prices starting at $57.88.

The Gamecocks are coming off a 13-19 season but have revamped the roster with 12 new faces. Carolina returns three lettermen from last year’s roster, headlined by Grant Polk who appeared in 30 games, averaging 12.9 minutes per game and 3.8 points per outing, while registering a 32.9 percent clip from deep. The Gamecocks hit the portal hard this year, bringing talent and experience to the Midlands with nine transfers.

South Carolina was able to gain valuable experience earlier this fall after playing a pair of games in the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League. The Gamecocks took down Victoria (Canada) by the final of 94-81 before besting The Bahamas National Team, 86-46. Kory Mincy and Aleksas Bieliauskas scored in double figures both games with Mincy averaging 16.5 points while Bieliauskas averaged 13 points per game in The Bahamas.

Wake Forest finished the 2025-26 season with an 18-17 overall record, including 7-11 in the ACC. The Demon Deacons are led by seventh year head coach Steve Forbes.

Forbes and Paris are no strangers, clashing as head coaches as a pair of Southern Conference rivals during their times at East Tennessee State (Forbes) and Chattanooga (Paris). Much like the Gamecocks, the Deacs will rely heavily on new acquisitions to the 2026-27 roster.
