Meitin Named Chief Revenue and Data Officer for the Gamecock Club

Michael Meitin has been named Chief Revenue and Data Officer for the Gamecock Club, Gamecock Athletics announced today.

In his role, Meitin will oversee strategic revenue growth, lead the Gamecock Club’s sales and retention teams, premium sales, and direct data analysis, CRM, and email marketing systems. He will also help drive the continuous improvement of the concession experience at athletic venues.

“Mike brings a deep and diverse range of experience to his role with the Gamecock Club,” said Wayne Hiott, CEO of the Gamecock Club. “He is a proven leader in strategy and campaign management, with a well-documented track record in data analytics, revenue generation, sales and marketing. He will be an outstanding addition to our staff.”

Meitin comes to South Carolina following nearly 10 years at Arizona State University, where he most recently served as Senior Associate Athletics Director for the past six years. As a member of the Sun Devil Athletics senior management team, he oversaw ticket sales revenue, premium sales, ticket operations and all attendance-related metrics for 11 ticketed sports, as well as developing the business analytics unit. During his time there, new club spaces were developed at Mountain America Stadium and the new multi-purpose venue, Mullett Arena.

Meitin has led sales, service, and marketing units since 2007. His career includes roles with the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, as well as international experience with Aspire Sport Marketing Group in the United Kingdom. He later returned to the United States to work with Sun Devil Athletics before serving as Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Engagement Services at the University of Texas. He returned to the Phoenix area and Arizona State in late 2016.

A native of Boulder, Colorado, Meitin is a 2000 graduate of Florida State University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Coventry University in the United Kingdom.

Meitin and his wife, Abbey, have a daughter, Bradley, and two rescue dogs. He has volunteered at animal shelters and enjoys hiking, swimming, and golf.
