2018-19 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll
2019 Track
Indoors: Took part in the 1000m, mile run and 3000m individually as a freshman over five appearances… finished seventh in the 1000m in her debut meet, running 3:01.87 at the Orange & Purple Elite… had her best mile effort at the Dr. Sander Challenge, a time of 5:03.17 to finish 15th… ran the 3000m at the SEC Championships, taking 49th with a mark of 10:43.58… ran the DMR twice, including a winning effort at the Carolina Challenge where they Gamecocks finished in 11:40.39, second-best in school history.
Outdoors: Had great success individually in the 800m and 1500m while also serving as a valuable relay leg… finished fifth in the 800m at the Gamecock Invitational with a time of 2:13.24, and won the 800 at the USC Outdoor Open in a time of 2:14.26… finished second in the 1500m at the Black & Gold Challenge and third at the Spec Towns Invitational… her Spec Towns time of 4:32.46 ranked 10th in Carolina history at the end of the season… placed 19th in the 1500m at the SEC Championships with a mark of 4:36.33… was part of a winning 4x800m relay at the Black & Gold Challenge… helped the 4×8 squad run a time of 9:02.50 at Florida Relays, seventh-best in school history… was part of a school-record DMR performance at Penn Relays, when she ran the final leg to help the Gamecocks post a time of 11:39.22.
2018 Cross Country
Was the only Gamecock freshman to appear in all six meets… finished 25th in her debut, with a time of 19:01.6 at the Carolina Challenge… ran a season-best 5K of 18:51.24 to finish 28th at the Joe PianeInvitational… placed seventh at the Charleston Classic, with her time of 19:08.0 helping Carolina win the team title… transitioned to the 6K at the Princeton Classic, placing 62nd with a time of 22:55.6… finished 105th at the SEC Championships with a mark of 21:39.89… ended the year with her best 6K, a time of 22:46.5 to finish 173rd at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
High School
Entered Carolina with a 5K PR time of 18:16.85… Took first with a time of 18:29.66 at the 2017 SCISA Championships… Finished first with a time of 18:28.11 at the 2017 Sandhill Invitational… Took first place with a PR of 11:12.44 at the SCISA Championships in the 3200m during her senior outdoor season…Won on 27 different occasions in the 3200m.
Personal
Daughter of Leon and Robyn P. Bass… Has two brothers… Was a member of the National Honor Society and on the honor roll all four years of high school… Plans to major in nursing.
