Jared Muth

Jared Muth

Jared Muth joined the Gamecocks’ football athletic training staff in 2022 as an assistant athletic trainer under the tutelage of Clint Haggard.

Muth most recently worked at Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va., for seven years, the first two (2015-17) as an assistant athletic trainer for football and women’s tennis, and the final five (2017-22) as an associate head athletic trainer overseeing the Thundering Herd football program.

Muth earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in athletic training from Louisiana State University in 2012.

He worked as a graduate assistant with the volleyball and women’s tennis programs at the University of Memphis from 2012-14, while earning a Master’s degree in sport commerce in 2013.

Muth also served as an intern athletic trainer with the football program for one year at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

Muth is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, and the South Carolina Athletic Trainers Association. He is dry needle certified, is a corrective exercise specialist and a blood flow restriction specialist.
