2022-23: Notched a 7-5-0 record in Horsemanship, earning the highest win average in the event (.583)… six of seven wins came against top-10 ranked opponents… two MOP awards accounted for half of the MOPs in Horsemanship…scored a 77 on Tulip against Baylor (Sept. 29) tying for the highest Horsemanship score for the season…took down a No. 2 ranked Auburn opponent twice, both in the SEC Tournament (March 24) and NCEA Championship (April 13)… At NCEA’s, Thorpe scored a 223.5, the third-highest score (three judges) in program history for Horsemanship…named NCEA All-Academic First Team and Honor Roll…SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll…received Horsemanship MVP Award at annual team banquet…
2021-22: Rode in horsemanship 11 times and reining twice for South Carolina…earned back-to-back wins to cap off the fall slate…scored a season best of 77.5 at No. 1 Auburn (Oct. 29) to win her point…her 77.5 is tied for the top horsemanship score on the season…rode to a 73.5 for a point at No. 5 Georgia (Nov. 13)…won a point in reining at No. 7 Fresno State (Oct. 1) with a 69…named to the NCEA All-Academic First Team and the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.
2020-21: Earned NCEA All-Academic First Team honors… made the SEC Academic Honor Roll… rode in all eight meets for the Gamecocks, finishing with a 2-6-0 record… notched the first horsemanship win of her career in the season opener against Auburn (Oct. 16), knocking off her Tiger opponent 78-76… picked up another win against Georgia (Nov. 13), besting her Bulldog foe 71-70.
2019-20: Earned a spot on the NCEA Academic Honor Roll… made the SEC Academic Honor Roll… rode twice in exhibition for the Gamecocks… notched a tie in her first exhibition ride against Texas A&M (Feb. 8), 73-73… won her exhibition point in the season finale at Delaware State (March 6), 73-0.
2018-19: Named to the SEC All-Freshman Horsemanship team… competed a total of 10 times for Carolina with two of those being exhibitions… went 0-8 in the ring for the Gamecocks… won her exhibition against Ohio State, 70.5-69.5.
High School: Graduated from Jonathan Alder High School in West Jefferson, Ohio… IEA Regional and Zone multi-finalist… Top-10 at Worlds… also lettered in track for four years in high school… Reserve State Champion in both 4x800m indoor and outdoor.
