Josh Dickerson

Senior linebacker who saw significant playing time in his first season in the Garnet & Black in 2009 after spending two seasons at Georgia Military College… made tremendous improvement as the season progressed… listed on the second unit at the Mike position entering the fall behind Rodney Paulk… expected to push for the starting spot… has made one career start.

2009: Joined the Carolina program in January and went through spring drills… was having an excellent spring game before suffering a shoulder injury that required surgery… played in 12 games collecting 36 tackles… notched 2.5 tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries… got the starting nod against Kentucky… had a season-high seven tackles against FAU.

2008: Played his sophomore season at Georgia Military College… played in eight games, posting 30 tackles, 3.0 sacks and a fumble recovery… helped the Bulldogs to a 9-1 regular-season finish and a spot in the 2008 Mississippi Bowl.

2007: Played at Georgia Military College… recorded 32 tackles and four sacks as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Camden County High School in Kingsland, Ga.

PERSONAL: Josh Dickerson was born January 30, 1988… interested in a degree in sociology.
