Third-year player who transitioned from a wide receiver position to tight end in the spring of 2020… has more of an “H-Back” body type… brings a speed factor on the perimeter… gaining confidence in his blocking… showed flashes and could be primed for a breakout season.

2020 (Redshirt Freshman)

Redshirt freshman who appeared in five games after making the transition from wide receiver to tight end… had three catches for 110 yards, a gaudy 36.7-yard average… made his debut in the season opener against Tennessee… caught his first pass, a nine-yard reception, at Florida… tallied two catches for 101 yards at LSU, including a career-long 57-yard reception… injured his foot on that play and was sidelined for the remainder of the season… named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2019 (Freshman)

True freshman wide receiver… did not see any game action… redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL

Played on both sides of the ball for Whitehaven High School in Memphis, Tenn… graduated in 2019… the Tigers went 11-4 in his senior season, reaching the Division I Class 6A state championship game… coached by Rodney Saulsberry… named to the 6A All-Region team as a senior wide receiver… caught 24 passes for 500 yards with nine TDs in nine games as a senior… as a junior, had 52 catches for 1,011 yards and eight touchdowns for Memphis East… considered the ninth-best player in Tennessee, the 18th-best “athlete” in the country and No. 314 overall, according to 247Sports Composite.
