Indoors: Ran the 400m at four meets in his rookie season… took second place in his debut, at the Orange & Purple Elite… ran his best time at the SEC Championships, when he came in 27th with a mark of 48.07.
Outdoors: Took part in both the 200m and the 400m over six meets… won the 400m at the Black & Gold Challenge with a time of 47.81… came in 32nd in the 200m and 24th in the 400m at the SEC Championships… was part of the 4x400m relay during victories at the Black & Gold Challenge and the Spec Towns Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL
Competed at Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, S.C., under head coach Andrique Heyward… Ran the 100m, 200m and 400m… Led the Rams to a pair of region championships… Ran the fastest 300m time in the nation in 2018… Part of a 4x100m relay state championship in 2018… Set his high school’s 200m and 400m individual records… Helped Hillcrest set a 4x400m relay county record… Also lettered in football… Was on the honor roll.

PERSONAL
Son of Tyrone and Diane Talbert… Has two sisters, Jalyn and Camille, both of which were athletes at Hillcrest… Plans to major in sports broadcasting at Carolina with the goal of working in analytics… Chose the Gamecocks because he wants to prove himself in the SEC… Picked Carolina over Louisville, Illinois, Wisconsin and Charlotte.
