Indoor

Appeared in eight meets for the Gamecocks in his second indoor season, primarily running the 400m as well as the 4x400m relay … Was the leadoff leg of the men’s 4x400m relay that won the program’s first ever NCAA Indoor gold medal in the 4x400m relay, clocking 3:02.07 … Earned a pair of First Team All-American nods at the NCAA Indoor Championship, once for finishing first in the 4x400m relay and then again for placing solo fifth in the 400m when he ran a program record time of 45.12 … Scored at the SEC Indoor Championship in both the 400m and the 4x400m relay, finishing fourth individually in the 400m (45.34) and fifth in the 4x400m relay (3:05.05) … Prior to the SEC Indoor Championship, he was the leadoff leg of the men’s 4x400m relay that won the Tiger Paw Invitational after running a program record time of 3:00.86 for the second fastest time in collegiate history … Also won the 4x400m relay at the Clemson Opener (3:04.39) and the Gamecock Opener (3:05.91) with the relay squad at the Gamecock Opener ranking fifth in program history … His best individual 400m finish this season was third at the Orange & Purple Invite, clocking 46.05 … Ran a pair of 300m sprints this indoor season, including a runner-up finish at the Gamecock Opener with the second fastest time in school history at 32.36 … Appeared in one 200m sprint, winning the Carolina Classic with a new personal best time of 21.00.

Indoor

Had an indoor season to remember, competing in eight meets in the 200m, 300m, 400m, 4×400 meter relay and one distance medley relay … Was part of the DMR squad that set a new Carolina Indoor Track & Field facility record, running 9:44.41 for the fourth fastest time in program history … Scored in the SEC Indoor Championship in both the 400m and the 4x400m relay, finishing eighth in both events after clocking 46.47 in the 400m and 3:08.50 in the relay … Ran a personal best 46.33 in the prelim of the 400m at the SEC Indoor Championship, the seventh fastest time in program history … Won the East Coast Invitational 400m, running 47.09 … Opened his collegiate career in the 300m at the Clemson Opener in December, running 33.18 to finish second overall with the fourth fastest 300m in program history … Ran one 200m event at the Gamecock Opener, finishing fourth with a collegiate best time of 21.23 … Debuted in the 400m at the Corky Classic with a fourth-place finish and a time of 46.38 … Was part of three separate 4x400m relays that came away victorious including a pair of wins in home events.

Outdoor

Competed in all eight outdoor meets during his true freshman campaign, primarily running the 400m, 4x100m and the 4x400m … Just missed out on qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championship in the 400m after placing 14^th at the NCAA East Regional with a time of 45.78 … Earned Second Team All-SEC for the 400m after finishing runner-up with a time of 45.40 … During the preliminary round of the SEC Championship, Wrice ran a personal best time of 44.99 to secure the top spot and the third fastest time in program history … Also scored at the SEC Championship in the 4x400m relay, placing seventh after running 3:05.32 … Placed top three in his first three outdoor 400m races of his career, including a runner-up finish at the Gamecock Invite and the East Coast Relays … Was the leadoff leg in the 4x400m relay that ran 3:03.26 at the Florida Relays for the runner-up finish and the sixth fastest time in program history … Was also the opening leg for the relay squad that won the Weems Baskin Invitational (3:10.66) and the Charlotte Invitational (3:06.48) … Made his outdoor collegiate debut with a win in the 200m, running a wind-aided 20.89 at the Weems Baskin Invitational … Clocked a wind-legal 200m PR at the Florida Relays, running 21.10 … Was part of two 4x100m relay wins at the Gamecock Invite (39.83) and the Charlotte Invitational (39.88).
