Appeared in six meets in his first season with the Gamecocks, throwing the shot put in each appearance … Earned Second Team All-American honors after finishing 12^th at the NCAA Indoor Championship, throwing 19.05m (62-6) … Also scored at the SEC Indoor Championship, finishing eighth overall when he tossed 18.48m (60-7.75) … Opened the season with four consecutive wins, including his Gamecock debut when he captured the title at the Clemson Opener with a distance of 18.55m (60-10.5) … Threw the sixth longest indoor shot put in program history at the Tiger Paw Invitational, walking away with the win and a new personal best mark after launching 19.64m (64-5.25) … Also won the Gamecock Opener (18.35m) and the Carolina Classic (19.25m).
