2013 Track & Field (Freshman): Earned a spot on the 2012-13 Southeastern Conference First-Year Academic Honor Roll … Ran four race indoors, posting her best 5000-meter run time 17:14.85 in the SEC Championships … Finished sixth in the 5000m (17:15.95) the Armory Collegiate … Finished second in the Hokie Invite 5000m … Outdoors, ran the 1500-meter run once, ranking second in the Weems Baskin Invite at 4:50.14 … Twice ran the 5000m outdoors, at the Raleigh Relays and the Penn Relays Carnival.

2012 Cross Country (Freshman): Stood out as a freshman, finishing in third or fourth on the team … Her third-place showing on the squad (64th overall) in the SEC Championships also ranked as her best 6K time (22:04.86) … Came in fourth on the team in the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 22:18.08 clocking … Ranked fifth on the team in the Gamecock Invitational, crossing the line in 19:01.40.

High School: Tallied nine letters in track and cross country at Langley High School … A two-time indoor district champion in the 3200m and as part of the 4x800m relay … Also earned all-region honors twice in the indoor 3200m … Twice competed in the 4x800m relay in the National Scholastic Indoor Championships … Two-time cross country team captain … Leadership award winner twice indoors (2011 & 2012) and once outdoors (2012) … Also swam in high school … A member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, the Leadership Honor Society and the Quill & Scroll Honor Society.

Personal: The daughter of Ron and Stephanie, Mary Fouse has five siblings: John, Patrick, Emily, Michael and Robert … In her spare time, enjoys playing the piano … Picked South Carolina over William & Mary, Virginia, Duke and James Madison … Majoring in early childhood education … Has been involved with Best Buddies in the past … Wants to be a special education teacher.
