Hunter Maynard

Hunter Maynard joined the Gamecock staff as a defensive analyst in the summer of 2025. His energies will be focused on the linebackers.

Maynard served as the linebackers coach at Limestone College from 2022-25, including a stint under the leadership of head coach Mike Furrey.

Maynard began his collegiate career at Limestone before earning his undergraduate degree from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich. in elementary education in 2021. While at Concordia, he earned first-team All-America honors and was a CoSIDA Academic All-American. He added a Master’s degree in educational leadeship and administration from Liberty University in 2023.

In 2025, Maynard was inducted into the Concordia Athletics Hall of Fame and married his wife, Hannah.
