Tanner Jackson

Tanner Jackson is in his second season in the Carolina staff. He joined the Gamecocks’ staff in 2024 as a quality control coach for the defense. 

Jackson came to Columbia after a one-year stint on the Appalachian State staff in a similar role. Previously, he was a student assistant with the App State football program from 2018-21. 

 In 2022, Jackson worked on the ULM coaching staff as a defensive analyst.

 Jackson graduated from App State in 2021, earning his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science. While working as a student assistant, he was tasked with making scouting reports, breaking down opponent film and coaching the scout team at practice.

Jackson’s wife’s name is Abbie.
