The eyes of the world will be on Williams-Brice Stadium for the historic matchup between Manchester United and Liverpool on August 3, 2024. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. We’re excited to welcome fans from around the world to Columbia, South Carolina for the match.

To ensure fans attending the event have a hassle free day, check out our Know Before You Go Information below. We encourage all fans to arrive early to enjoy the pregame festivities around the stadium.

Getting to the match

  • Parking Toggle content

    All Athletics’ controlled parking lots around Williams-Brice Stadium are SOLD OUT.

    If you do not have a parking pass are still making plans on how to get to the match, we highly recommend the shuttle (more information below).

    If you still choose to drive to the stadium vicinity without a parking pass, businesses in the area may offer parking for purchase on match day. These spaces are controlled by owners and operators of the property. Heavy traffic is expected.

    If you already have secured a parking pass for the match, specific lot information is below. Athletics’ controlled lots will open at 2:30 p.m.

    • Gamecock Park pass holders must enter the lot via National Guard Gate 2 off of National Guard Rd. Main Gate on Bluff will be Prem. North & Garnet Society Lot pass holders ONLY. National Guard Gate 1 will be for Prem. South lot pass holders ONLY. ALL gates will be available for exiting the lot after the match. We are parking cars as they arrive.
    • Fairgrounds pass holders must enter either Gate 6 off of Assembly St. or Gate 10 off of Bluff Rd. Gates 7-9 will be for exiting ONLY. We are parking cars as they arrive.
    • Woodstock pass holders will enter via the only entrance into the lot at the end of National Guard Rd. Parking is first come, first served.
    • Any parking pass holders with handicap placards or tags/license plates will have the option to park in our designated handicap spaces in Gamecock Park or Fairgrounds. These spaces may be further away than the current location we are parking cars when they arrive, but we will give them the option to stay in the current line or pull into the designated handicap spaces. Handicap golf cart shuttles will be running in all 3 lots. There is no designated handicap parking in Woodstock due to the nature of the lot.
  • Shuttle Toggle content

    For fans that do not have a secured parking space around Williams-Brice Stadium, we highly recommend taking the shuttle.

    Fans may ride the shuttle from Colonial Life Arena (located at 801 Lincoln Street) to a drop-off location inside the South Carolina State Fairgrounds.

    Fans also have the ability to park their car in Lots A & B near Colonial Life Arena and then ride the shuttle.

    The cost to park your car is $20 and the cost to ride the shuttle is $5 per person for the roundtrip.

  • Rideshare Toggle content

    Due to traffic patterns around the stadium, fans requesting a rideshare drop-off in the close vicinity of Williams-Brice Stadium may be redirected within the app to a drop-off at Colonial Life Arena where they can ride the shuttle to the stadium. The cost to ride the shuttle is $5 round trip.

Entering Williams-Brice Stadium

    All gates of Williams-Brice Stadium will open at 5:30 p.m. Williams-Brice Stadium has a no re-entry policy, tickets can only be scanned for one use.

    For fans with suite tickets, please use gate 32 on West Side of the stadium. For fans with VIP ticket access, please use gate 22 on the West Side of the stadium.

  • Security Screening Toggle content

    Walk-through magnetometers will be in use for all fans. When approaching the security checkpoints at all entrances, keep all items in your pockets and bags. If you have a bag, proceed to the designated bag check areas. Clear bags are required. Tickets will be scanned once you are through the security checkpoint. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and allow ample time for processing. Diapers and additional baby supplies may be carried in a clear bag. Family members, including children, are allowed to carry an approved bag into the stadium.

    Be advised that all persons, upon entering property/stadium, consent to a search of their person and property at the time of entry and during their stay on the premises.

  • Clear Bag Policy Toggle content

    Williams-Brice Stadium enforces a clear bag policy. Fans carrying bags that do not meet the criteria will not be admitted to the venue.

    Approved bags:

    • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ — A logo no larger than 4.5″ x 3.4″ can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.
    • A clear bag shall be clear from top-to-bottom and up to a 2″ trim/border on the bag is generally acceptable.
    • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
    • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ — approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
    • Medically necessary items (Special medical gates for football: West Premium Gate 20 and East Gate 81)

    Prohibited bags include, bat are not limited to:

    • Purses larger than a clutch bag
    • Briefcases
    • Backpacks
    • Fanny packs
    • Cinch/Drawstring bags
    • Luggage of any kind
    • Computer bags
    • Diaper bags
    • Binocular cases
    • Camera bags
    • Non-approved seat cushions, which include large traditional seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments or covers

    • Coolers, thermoses, cups, glass bottles, cans, flasks (Exception: 1 sealed clear plastic disposable bottle OR 1 empty and clear plastic disposable bottle of water per person (i.e., Dasani water bottle))

    • Video cameras, tripods, recording devices, detachable camera lenses over 6″, selfie sticks
    • Weapons/concealed weapons
    • Alcoholic beverages

  • Banner Policy Toggle content

    Banners, signs and flags will be admitted to Williams-Brice Stadium for the soccer match if they meet all of the below requirements:

    • May be no larger 3′ x 5′
    • Cannot be attached to a pole or stick
    • May not be hung, attached or displayed on any part of the building.
    • Must not contain offensive or obscene language
    • Those with graphic depictions must be in good taste and contain no depictions that would offend or embarrass other patrons

  • Cashless Stadium Toggle content

    Williams-Brice Stadium is a cashless venue. Fans must utilize debit cards, credit cards or mobile wallets for all payments. Reverse ATMs are available on the East Ground and West Main. Simply exchange your cash for a debit card at any Reverse ATM location throughout Williams-Brice Stadium.

  • ID requirements for alcohol purchase Toggle content

    Effective January 1, 2024, a vertical ID is no longer be accepted as a form of identification for purchasing alcohol.

  • Text Assist/Fan Help Line Toggle content

    If you see something, say something. Report stadium issues, unruly behavior, or requests for help by texting: “USC” [space] along with your issue and location to 69050. Assistance is available two hours before kickoff and one hour after the game. (Standard SMS rates apply)

Heat Management Plan

In order for fans to stay safe, hydrated and cool during the match, Williams-Brice Stadium will be implementing its Heat Management Plan.

  • Water Bottles – Fans are permitted to bring one (1) empty and clear plastic disposable bottle of water per person OR one (1) sealed clear plastic disposable bottle of water into the stadium (i.e., Dasani water bottle).
  • Water Refills – Bottle filling stations at locations throughout the stadium. These bottle filling stations are located near existing water fountains.
  • Water Monsters – Water Monsters will be available throughout Williams-Brice Stadium. Fans have the ability to fill their water bottles for free at any water monster location.

Gamecock Village Fan Zone

Be sure to stop by the Gamecock Village Fan Zone located across Bluff Rd from Williams-Brice Stadium. The Fan Zone is free for all fans and no ticket is required for entry.

    A pop-up shop featuring merchandise for both clubs will open on Friday, August 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in front of the Bignon Gameday Center on the corner of George Rogers Blvd. and Key Rd. Fans wishing to visit the pop-up shop on Friday may park in the Lot D off of Key Rd.

  • Saturday - Outside the stadium Toggle content

    Two pop-up shop featuring merchandise for both clubs will be open outside of the gates from 2:30 p.m. until after the game.

    The first pop-up shop will be located in front of the Bignon Gameday Center on the corner of George Rogers Blvd. and Key Rd. The second pop-up shop will be located inside the FanZone located inside Gamecock Park across Bluff Rd. from Williams-Brice Stadium.

    Both pop-up shops featuring merchandise from both clubs and club specific pop-up shops will be open inside of Williams-Brice Stadium. Fans with tickets will be able to visit these stands once gates open at 5:30 p.m.
