Season ticket holders with seats in Sections 1-9, 101-109, 201-209 and Suites will be impacted by the Williams-Brice Reimagined stadium project. Season ticket holders outside of those sections are not impacted.
This is an exciting time for Gamecock Athletics. As we embark on the reimagination of Williams-Brice Stadium, we know our fans will have a lot of questions. How does this affect my current seats? How can I show interest in one of the new spaces? When will new areas be open?
We will continue to update this page as well as send out communication throughout this process as more information becomes available.
With significant renovations to the west side of the stadium, there will be changes to the number of seats available in some of our sections. Fans currently sitting in sections 1-9, 101-109, 201-209 and suites will be impacted by these changes and will need to take part in one of three seat selection processes (2026 Pre-Selection, 2027 Pre-Selection or Premium Selections). We encourage you to utilize the below interactive flow chart and view the FAQs to determine what option is best for you.

Overall Project Questions
-
What is planned for Williams-Brice Stadium?
The current project focuses on the West, North and East Sides of Williams-Brice Stadium. Among the renovations and improvements being targeted in the project are additional premium areas, student section upgrades, locker room renovations, concourse improvements including concessions and restrooms, and back-of-house additions to better serve customers in the stadium.
-
Why is the project needed?
We want to continue to deliver the best possible gameday experience to all of our fans. While significant renovations to Williams-Brice Stadium have been made in recent years, these new projects will aim to provide a gameday experience that is unprecedented in college athletics. Currently, Williams-Brice Stadium lags behind its SEC peers in offering premium seating and in stadium upgrades. The new premium spaces will generate much-needed revenue to not only help cover construction costs, but to reinvest into our athletic programs. The project will also help the University attract major events, including concerts and international events. This ambitious and transformational project serves the University’s mission and vision and is another example of our comprehensive pursuit of excellence. The reimagining of the stadium—in combination with the proposed retail, dining and lodging district immediately adjacent—will provide a huge economic boost to our community and will help us reinvest into priorities across campus.
-
Why was the size of the project increased in May 2025?
After working through the Master Plan design and study with our architect Populous, it was clear that increasing the size of the project was necessary in order to positively affect the game day experience for the largest number of Gamecock fans.
-
Does the Williams-Brice Stadium Project have any impact on the potential riverfront development?
This ambitious and transformational project serves the University’s mission and vision and is another example of our comprehensive pursuit of excellence. The reimagining of the stadium—in combination with the proposed retail, dining and lodging district immediately adjacent—will provide a huge economic boost to our community and will help us reinvest into priorities across campus. All of these projects in totality should position us well for the future once completed.
-
What is the cost of the project and how will it be funded?
Initial estimates are approximately $350 million for the renovation. Funding will primarily come from capital gifts, premium seating sales and licensing, and related annual revenue.
-
When will construction begin?
This project will be a multi-year project. We anticipate that Phase 1 construction will begin in December following the conclusion of the 2025 football season. There is no expectation at this time that any games will have to be relocated from Williams-Brice Stadium as a result of construction.
