The mission of Gamecock NIL is to help University of South Carolina student-athletes maximize their name, image, and likeness opportunities. Utilizing the best resources and most up to date information regarding the NIL landscape, Gamecock NIL is focused on providing the support needed to allow our student-athletes to maximize their NIL. Through partnerships with Altius Sports Partners (on-campus support) and INFLCR (Gamecock Exchange), Gamecock student-athletes have a best-in-class set of tools to build their brand and earn compensation through NIL.
DISCLOSURES: While it is not required, it is highly recommended that NIL deals get disclosed through the INFLCR App. By doing so, you are ensuring proper compliance and record keeping that will prove helpful this coming tax season. On-Campus Support
Through a partnership with Altius Sports Partners, South Carolina has on-campus Support available to all student-athletes. Joe Shepard, NIL Partner Services Manager, is located on the 3rd floor of the Rice. Joe is available to help student-athletes navigate the NIL space including but not limited to: connecting with brands and businesses, how to build your brand, questions to ask when reviewing an NIL offer and how to start maximizing your NIL. Educational Resources
Gamecock NIL maintains an extensive library of educational materials for student-athletes. As the landscape evolves and needs change, Gamecock NIL will continue to add to its education resources. INFLCR Tips
Introducing the INFLCR Athlete Certification course for our INFLCR Plus & INFLCR Exchange student-athletes! This course is designed to help student-athletes further understand the basics of social media, account security, verification, and the INFLCR app. Once a student-athlete completes this course and passes our INFLCR Certified Athlete Exam, they will receive an email with steps to submit the necessary resources for an Instagram Verification Request.
Use of Gamecock Branding (Trademark & Licensing)
Gamecock student-athletes must request use of intellectual property, including but not limited to official logos, marks, colors, by using the NIL Use of Marks Request Form and submitting the form as indicated on the request form. The form must be submitted no later than five (5) business days prior to the NIL activity. Any request submitted after this deadline shall be denied. The completed request form should be submitted to Hilary Cox at coxha@mailbox.sc.edu.
