COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Gamecock men’s soccer team (7-6-3, 2-2-2) hosts Marshall (8-6-1, 4-2-0) on Saturday at Stone Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m. The match will also serve as senior night for seven Gamecock seniors.

Gamecocks Celebrate Senior Night
Seven members of the Gamecock squad will play their final regular season game at Stone Stadium on Saturday versus Marshall. Injured defender Mark Wiltse, Jeff Scannella, Tyler Ruthven, Bryan Lowder, Mario Burstein, Schuyler Reardon and Sean Nguyen will be recognized prior to the start of the match for Senior Night.
Arthur, Maurer Garner Academic All-District Accolades
For the second consecutive season, junior Sam Arthur and classmate Jimmy Maurer were honored with selection to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (III) First Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday. Arthur currently paces the squad with eight goals and two assists, while Maurer has played every minute in net for Carolina this season.

Gamecock goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer is just .5 shutouts away from ranking in the top five in South Carolina history for shutouts in a career. Maurer enters Saturday’s contest versus Marshall ranked fourth in C-USA with a 1.19 goals against average for the year.
