In another first for the University of South Carolina, the Gamecock women’s track and field team and coaches will be honored at a reception with President George W. Bush at The White House in the East Room on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 1:30 pm.

The NCAA champion Gamecocks will be joined by nine other NCAA champion teams
at a reception for the 2002 NCAA Spring Sports. It is the first time a
Gamecock team has visited The White House to receive such honors..

USC’s women won the school’s first NCAA title in June, crowning 20
All-Americans and three NCAA champions.
