Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina forward Jordan Quinn was named College Soccer News National Player of the Week after leading the fifth-ranked Gamecocks to wins over New Hampshire and No. 10 Washington in the Gamecock Soccer Classic.
The senior from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., scored the lone goal of the match Friday night as USC defeated the previously unbeaten New Hampshire Wildcats 1-0. Against the Huskies in the Sunday matchup, Quinn posted his second game-winning goal of the tournament as USC downed Washington 3-1. For his efforts, Quinn earned Offensive Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive week. On Sept. 8 he was named the Duke/adidas Classic MVP.
Quinn was also named to College Soccer New’s Team of the Week for the week ending Sept. 15.
