Winston-Salem, N.C. – The South Carolina men’s tennis team opens fall play Saturday as the Gamecocks participate in the 2002 Southeast Collegiate Invitational. Angelo Niculescu, Ben Atkinson, Rob Cassidy, and Kazuya Otani will represent USC in the two-day event. The tournament is structured in the compass draw format, guaranteeing each player four matches.

Wake Forest hosts the twelve-team tournament to be held at the Old Town Country Club and Wake Forest University. Teams participating include Charlotte, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Davidson, Furman, Appalachian State, Winthrop, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wake Forest.
