COLUMBIA, S.C. – Megan Massaro from the South Carolina equestrian team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Massaro earned MVP honors in equitation on the flat and equitation over fences to lead the South Carolina equestrian team to a 13-7 victory against No. 2 Texas A&M. The meeting was the first between the two traditional powers as Massaro led the Hunter Seat team to a 9-1 division win.

Massaro had the high scores of the day in both events with her 87-70 win on the flat and 85-74 win over fences. It is her third MVP honor this season over fences and second on the flat. The honors also mark the second time this season that Massaro swept MVP honors in the Hunter Seat division. She earned double MVP honors in the season opening win against Kansas State.
