COLUMBIA, S.C. – A trio of Gamecocks went undefeated through both halves of Saturday’s doubleheader as No. 52 South Carolina swept past Troy 7-0 in the second match of the day. All 10 Gamecocks played between the two matches, and juniors Diego Cubas and Ivan Cressoni and sophomore Johannes Pulsfort all went 2-0 in singles.

The doubles matches against Troy finished in order as the Gamecocks cruised through the three pro sets to win the doubles point. In singles action, Cubas made quick work of Troy’s Branko Weber 6-2, 6-2 at the top position, Pulsfort turned in a 6-4, 6-3 win over Mario Silva on No. 4. Campos won a first-set tie breaker then rolled 6-3 in the second set over Aurelien Tave at No. 2, and freshman Ivan Machado battled through a three-set victory (6-1, 5-7, 6-1) over Benjamin Chomette at the No. 3 spot. Cressoni overpowered Xavier Masson 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5, and Wolff completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Gvilherme Sahadhi.

South Carolina returns to its home indoor courts next Saturday for a 1 p.m. match against No. 58 Georgia Tech.
