Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina men’s soccer team (2-0-0) moved up one spot to 12th in the College Soccer News poll released today. Stanford jumped to the number one spot, while Indiana and Virginia round out the top three.
South Carolina was ranked 13th in the preseason poll, but moved up to 12th after defeating Charleston Southern, 4-1, and Jacksonville, 2-1.
This weekend USC takes on N. C. State and Duke at the Duke-adidas Classic in Durham, N.C. The Gamecocks and Wolfpack meet on Friday, Sept. 6 at 5:00 p.m., while Duke and South Carolina close out the tournament on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 1:00 p.m. Sunday’s match against the Blue Devils will be broadcasted over the internet on www.uscsports.com.
