COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s soccer team defeated Francis Marion 3-1 Sunday in a spring exhibition at Stone Stadium. Francis Marion struck first in the opening 30 minute period, but the Gamecocks retaliated with goals in the second and third periods. Kim Miller tied the game on a penalty kick before Samantha Diaz-Matosas hit the game-winner. Lolly Holland registered the insurance goal.

The Gamecocks return to the pitch Saturday, April 18 with their final spring exhibition against Charlotte at 12 noon. The Alumni Game will follow the Charlotte match.
