COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The University of South Carolina athletics department invites all Gamecock Club members, USC faculty, staff and students to tour the construction site at the new Carolina Center basketball arena, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11. The athletic department is excited about the new arena and wants the best fans in the country to experience this excitement with this special sneak preview.

Open house tours have been scheduled for Sun., Aug. 4 and Sun., Aug. 11 from noon until 4 p.m. The open house not only will provide fans with an advance look at the new arena, it also will help individuals gain a perspective on potential seat locations. Parking for the tours will be in the three lots located between The Carolina Center and Carolina Coliseum on Park Street between College and Blossom Streets.

The athletics department would like to remind everyone that this is a construction site; therefore, open-toed shoes and shorts are prohibited. Also, the site is not recommended for children. Because the arena is enclosed and there are no operable air conditioners, it may be hot and dusty inside the arena. Please keep these things in mind and remember to exercise caution at all times.
