Columbia, S.C. – The 13th-ranked University of South Carolina men’s soccer team hosts Jacksonville University on Monday, Sept. 2 at 2:00 p.m.

Both teams won their first match of the season on Friday night. The Gameococks defeated Charleston Southern, 4-1, with the help of newcomers Ricky Quest and Ryan Deter, who each knocked in two goals. The Dolphins of Jacksonville shutout Brewton-Parker 3-0.

Monday’s showdown is the ninth meeting between the two teams with USC winning the previous eight. The last time the two teams met was in 1990, with South Carolina coming out on top with a 4-1 victory.

The afternoon matchup is also Recycle Day for South Carolina. Any fan who brings a newspaper to the game will be admitted for $1.
