“I think they scored on every possession (in the last few minutes of the game), and we scored on none of ours. You give credit to (UNC-Asheville), they did their job. We didn’t do ours, me included.”

“We felt that with the team that we had, with the guards and our center, that we could compete with the bigger teams. We don’t have to necessarily play perfect, but we have to play very, very well. Tonight our guys did that, and we really played well as a team.”

“This was more of a defensive win, even though there were not a lot of fouls called. When center Kenny George is on the floor we play more of defensive game than when he is not on the floor. Tonight that is how we had to play, and our guys played together and we got the job done. We wanted to play a 1-3-1 zone most of the night, but Fredrick and Downey did not allow us to do that. So we switched to a 2-3 zone, and it really helped us.”
