COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gamecock fans can watch Sunday’s women’s soccer match between No. 24 South Carolina and Vanderbilt for free courtesy of CBS College Sports. The live webcast will begin at 3 p.m. EST as the Gamecocks look to record their first victory against the Commodores since the 1999 season.
South Carolina (8-1-3, 2-0-1 SEC) is coming off a 2-0 shutout win at Kentucky Friday night. Freshman Kayla Grimsley scored both goals in the victory to move to the top of the SEC leaderboard with 15 points on the year. Redshirt sophomore Mollie Patton recorded her sixth shutout of the season to lead the Gamecock defense after escaping a Kentucky penalty kick in the 76th minute unscathed.
Vanderbilt (6-4-1, 0-3-0 SEC) dropped a 4-3 match to No. 15 Florida Friday night in overtime, giving up the golden goal in the 105th minute after leading 3-2 late in regulation. Sophomore Molly Kinsella scored two goals for the Commodores.
