South Carolina Athletics hosted its annual Fan Appreciation Day at the Colonial Center on Sunday afternoon. Over 2,400 fans were in attendance to meet the coaches and players and receive autographs from the men’s and women’s soccer teams, the volleyball team, the cheerleading squad and the football team.

There was a definite feeling of excitement about the upcoming season as hundreds of fans lined up over an hour before the doors opened. While waiting for the football team to arrive, fans watched highlights from last season on the video board at the Colonial Center.

The football team hosts the first home event of the season against Lousiana-Lafayette on September 1st at 7 p.m. Women’s soccer hosts its first match on September 3 at 7 pm versus East Tennessee State. Men’s soccer kicks off its season on September 4th at 7 pm vs Presbyterian. Volleyball will host a home tournament the weekend of September 7th.
