On Tues., July 24 at 9 am fans are invited to the Colonial Center for the Opening Ceremony as the University of South Carolina will celebrate 100 Years of Gamecock Basketball this upcoming season. The Opening Ceremonies will be held in the atrium of the Colonial Center (just inside the front doors). Doors will open at 8 am.

The first 50 fans in the door will receive a 100 Years of South Carolina Basketball lapel pin.

The Opening Ceremony will be tipped off by South Carolina head coach Dave Odom and include introductions of the following:

Former Gamecock players:
John Roche
BJ McKie
Kevin Joyce
Ronnie Collins
Zam Fredrick
Bobby Cremins
John Ribock
Corkey Carnevale
Mrs. Grady Wallace
A representative of the Alex English family (Alex English may not be able to attend)
Carlos Powell

and 100 years committee members: the former voice of the Gamecocks, Bob Fulton, and former letterwinners Dennis Powell and Carey Rich.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the time constraints of a press conference at 9:30 am and a tight schedule that morning, no autographs will be allowed. Fans will be given an opportunity to get autographs and take photos at the Alumni Game as part of the 100 Years of Basketball Celebration Reunion in February of 2008.
