Louisville, Ky. – Senior Rebecca Chain led the Gamecocks for the sixth time this season at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship Saturday. The Gamecocks tallied 668 points to finish 25th.

Senior Rebecca Chain finished in the top-100 with an 87th place finish and a time of 22:16. For the first time this season, junior Callie Rabun finished second for the Gamecocks placing 118th. Freshman Ashley Evens followed closely finishing third for South Carolina with a 122nd place finish. Freshmen Courtney Bowen and Tara Tae and junior Megan Robers finished within seconds of each other to add points for Gamecocks. Junior Kelsey Bristol rounded out the scoring for South Carolina.

North Carolina State claimed the team title with 106 points, while Duke followed with a second place finish claiming 114 points. Both teams receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Championships. Brianna Felnagle of North Carolina took home the individual title finishing in a time of 19:52.
