The draw for the 2007 Southeastern Conference Men’s Tennis Tournament was released Sunday, and No. 11 seed South Carolina will face sixth-seeded Alabama in the first round on Thursday, April 19, at 8 a.m. CT. The tournament runs Thursday through Sunday at the W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Center in Baton Rouge, La.

The winner of Thursday’s first round match advances to meet No. 3 seed Florida on Friday at 8 a.m. CT.

South Carolina concluded the regular season with an 11-13 record and a 2-9 mark in SEC matches. Alabama is 19-6 overall and went 7-4 in conference play. The Crimson Tide won the regular season contest between the two teams in Tuscaloosa, 6-1, on April 1. Alabama holds a 16-12 advantage in the all-time series, but South Carolina has won two of the last three meetings between the two schools.
