Game Notes

Columbia, S.C.

  • Georgia leads the series 45-43 (schools records are not the same because USC doesn’t count games forfeited as wins due to UGA’s NCAA sanctions). The Gamecocks hold a 26-15 lead in Columbia. The Bulldogs took the meeting earlier this season 80-56 in Athens on Jan. 10, 2007. UGA swept the series for the second straight year.

  • Brandon Wallace has played in 128 career games, just four games from tying the school record (132 games, Carlos Powell, 2001-05). Tre’ Kelley is right behind him with 127 career games played at No. 2.

  • Brandon Wallace’s three blocks moved him to No. 3 on the all-time career blocks list with 227, passing Jeff Roulston (226, 1989-92). Next up at No. 2: Alex English with 230 from 1973-76.

  • Tre’ Kelley scored in double figures for the 20th time this season and the 63rd time in his career. Kelley has 1333 career points and passed Tom Owens (1325, 1968-71) for No. 18 on the career list.

  • Brandon Wallace hit double figures for the 11th time this year and the 28th time in his career.

  • Chad Gray recorded a career high 10 points. His previous career high was 6 points against Alabama on Feb. 3, 2007 and against Kentucky on Feb. 7, 2007.
