CHARLESTON, S.C.–The South Carolina men’s golf garnet team sits atop the team leader board through two rounds at the Charleston Southern Fall Invitational. The Gamecocks shot rounds of 290- 288=578 (+2) at the Par 72, 6298-yard Crowfield Plantation Course on Monday and hold a three-stroke lead on the rest of the field entering Tuesday’s final round.
Redshirt sophomore Patrick Cunning paced Carolina with a pair of one-under par rounds (71-71=142). Cunning is tied for fifth individually. Sophomore Allen Koon fired rounds of 74-72=146 and shares 14th place on the individual leader board. Sophomore Mark Silvers is one stroke behind Koon after rounds of 73-74=147 and in a tie for16th.
Redshirt junior David Kite opened with a 77 and came back to shoot a one-under par 71 in the second round, placing him tied for 18th individually. Freshman Patrick Rada rounded out the Gamecock lineup with a two-round total of 72-78=150 and shares 24th.
The Invitational concludes with the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Play begins at 8:30 a.m.
