WINDERMERE, Fla. —The University of South Carolina men’s golf team concluded play Tuesday in the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational, finishing in 16th after a final round team score of 319 at the par 72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf and Country Club. Junior Warren Thomas (Columbia, S.C.) was the Gamecocks’ top individual finisher in a tie for 29th.

South Carolina endured a tough day on Tuesday as all five Gamecock golfers carded their highest round of the tournament. The Gamecocks finished with a team total score of 292-304-319=915 (+51).

Thomas fired a final-round 78 to complete the event with a total score of 74-73=78=225. Freshman George Bryan IV (Chapin, S.C.) and junior Mark Anderson (Beaufort, S.C.) finished tied for 35th. Bryan posted a score of 81 while Anderson shot 79 today.

Freshman Paul Woodbury (Lake City, S.C.) shared 77th place on the final individual leader board after carding an 82 on the final 18 holes. Sophomore Baker Elmore (Cheraw, S.C.) capped the event with a final-round 81 to place in a tie for 81st.

Texas captured the team total 294-285-297=876 (+12). Georgia’s Brian Harman won the individual title with a three-day total of 70-71-75=216. The 18-team field at Isleworth featured 10 teams currently ranked in Golfweek’s Top 25.

The Gamecocks will compete in their final event of the fall season Nov. 6-7 at the CordeValle Intercollegiate in San Martin, Calif.
